Organized by Northstar Meetings Group, the awards celebrate outstanding initiatives in four distinct categories: reward-travel experience, employee programs, dealer/channel categories, and recognition. This year’s entries showcased the rejuvenation of incentive travel and the ingenuity of professionals in the industry. The programs were judged based on program design, innovative rewards, execution, and proven results.
Our bold departure from the conventional North American beach getaway, replacing it with a more exotic adventure—a memorable five-day excursion to Ireland’s enchanting cities of Limerick, Killarney, and Dublin.
The new format reaped financial rewards that exceeded our expectations. Our team members contributed to a revenue surge that doubled the company’s previous average of $50 million to an astounding $105 million. The average per-person revenue also saw an unprecedented increase, from an average of $3 to $5 million to a record $8 million.
While the fiscal outcomes were certainly noteworthy, Kip Horton, our Senior Vice President of Talent Support and Strategy, emphasizes that the program’s impact extends beyond mere numbers.
The Ireland trip featured stays at luxury properties like the Hotel Savoy Limerick, the Europe Hotel & Resort in Killarney, and the Hard Rock Hotel Dublin. Attendees had the choice to engage in unique activities—from e-bike tours of the stunning Gap of Dunloe to recording studio visits where iconic artists like U2 and The Cranberries once produced albums. The trip concluded with a grand dinner at Dublin’s historic Christ Church.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback has encouraged us to continue our international sojourns. The next stop? Cartagena, Colombia, followed by a return to Europe in 2025.
Just halfway through 2023, we’ve already seen a 50% uptick in sales compared to last year. It’s evident that our investment in meaningful, well-crafted incentive programs not only boosts morale but also benefits our bottom line.
