Desiree comes from a diverse hospitality background, spread over 6 years in the industry. She began her career in hospitality with HPN Global in Sourcing Operations—researching and sending out qualified leads to global destinations, easing the site selection process for our clients, and eventually leading that team.
She left HPN briefly for a new opportunity with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where she worked as a sales manager in the largest Hotel in the state of Arizona; servicing clients with 10-200 rooms on peak night. Considered a “small-group” seller at this property, this meant she had a lot more hand-in-hand interaction with the event management team and her clients than most on-property sales managers would.
She rejoined HPN in November 2016 as a Program Coordinator—organizing, managing, and budgeting programs from inception to finish. Other roles she has assumed as part of the HPN Meeting Services team include working as a registration manager, housing manager, onsite staff and on registration site builds (Cvent), based on client needs.
She is highly organized, professional, and passionate about meeting and event management– ensuring that each program she works on gets the same attention-to-detail and exceeds her client’s expectations.
